Course Description:
Recurrent PPS training is a required course for continued participation in the National ALPA PPS program. Peers are expected to attend either a recurrent or initial training event every 24 months or sooner if possible. This course is for current PPS volunteers to remain active in the PPS program.

This course enhances the knowledge, tools, and attitudes needed to continue to serve in the role of a supportive peer for fellow professionals who are having difficulty coping with the stresses of life. Recurrent PPS training includes a review of some of the skills and topics trained during initial PPS training.  In addition to reviewing any current PPS trends or peer best practices, the recurrent training emphasizes enhancing the skills needed when interacting with a pilot calling into PPS, specifically critical thinking abilities, reinforcing listening skills, and utilizing resources.
